With all those recipes out there, how do you choose one quickly? No slight to all you cooks out there, but some recipes are simply more reliable and better formulated. Here is a list of some of the sites I look to for sensible advice and a guaranteed (well almost) outcome. They are in alphabetical order, not order of preference.
Some of my favorite chefs are my Mom, Anka, Laura Calder, Michael Smith, Anna Olson, Vikram Vij & Meeru Dhalwala, Madhur Jaffrey has been a kitchen companion for years, Julia Child, Flo Braker, the contributors to the Santa Fe Hot & Spicy Recipe, Guiliano Bugiali and Elodia Rigante.
Oh yeah, and if you really want to march down the road to becoming a better cook and especially a baker, buy a scale! It makes quick work of using recipes from other parts of the world, not to mention saving tons of time when measuring butter. And flour.
