4 servings

Ingredients

1 tub (1 cup or 175 g) plain Balkan-style yogurt
4 tsp (20 ml) chopped fresh oregano or 2 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil
2 tsp (10 ml) grated lemon rind
1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp (2 ml) each, salt and pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or 8 boneless skinless chicken thighs (1 lb/500 g total)
Lemon wedges

Method

In large bowl, whisk together yogurt, oregano, oil, lemon rind and juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Add chicken; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, turning occasionally. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)

Place chicken on greased grill over medium heat; brush with any remaining marinade. Close lid and grill, turning once, until golden brown, grill-marked and no longer pink inside for breasts or until juices run clear for thighs, about 12 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges.
